The Luxury Apartments page Got money? The high rise luxury apartment buildings offer roof top pools and shared work spaces. Some include Airbnb hotels. Built with the state's density bonus waivers, few buildings includes "affordable" units. Very few.
The Affordable Housing ADUs page In a Superman effort to impress the governor and move up the political ladder, Mayor Todd Gloria modified the state ADU law, changing it from 4 units in a backyard to unlimited. San Diego now has backyards with 12, 17, 30+ units! Worse is not knowing what will happen next door to where you live.
The Airbnb Vacation page You gotta love Airbnb. They control San Diego. In 2018 they hired PCI Consultants to collect enough signatures to cause a referendum, which stopped any restrictions on how many short-term vacation rentals could be here. It's now normal to expect a whole house short-term vacation rental next door.
The Tent Cities page 10,000 homeless. Mayor Todd Gloria has created two tent cities, a total of 700 tents, near downtown. These and the few other shelters are for those who aren't using drugs or alcohol. Expect to see people sleeping on sidewalks.

The Beach Properties page California's politicians are rushing to write laws to change the coast, from the casual, beach vibe everyone loves, to allowing high rise towers of luxury apartments and Airbnb hotels to get built.
San Diego's Politicians They disappoint. They are so predictable. The voters have learned to not expect support. We can count on them to give away the city to rich and powerful donors. The rest of us can go pound sand.
